Monel 400 (UNS N04400) is a Nickel-Copper alloy and performs excellently in seawater and chemical environments. This alloy has superb corrosion resistance compared with other Nickel-Copper alloys particularly resist in neutral and alkaline salts. It is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated.
