Nickel 200 (UNS N04400) alloys are commercially pure nickel with good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and excellent resistance to many corrosives, particularly in hydroxides environments. Compared with other Nickel based alloys, Alloy 200 has good magnetic and magneto strictive properties, high electrical and thermal conductivity. It has been widely used in chemical and food processing.

 Applications:

Alloy 200 is used for the manufacture of processing equipment. It is particularly suitable to maintain product purity in handling foods, synthetic fibers and alkalis, manufacture and handling of sodium hydroxide, particularly at the temperature above 300C.

  • Production of viscose rayon.
  • Aniline hydrochloride production and in the chlorination of aliphatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, methane and ethane.
  • Reactors and vessels in which fluorine is generated and reacted with hydrocarbons.

Food Processing, Salt refining equipment.
