Alloy 347 and 347H is a kind of high carbon Niobium Stabilized Austenitic stainless steel with the addition of Niobium. The addition of element Nb, making TP347H has a good intracrystalline corrosion resistance, especially to corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt. It is widely used in heat exchanger, superheater pipe, reheater pipe, steam pipe in boiler of power generation, petroleum, chemical industry, synthetic fiber, food and paper industry. The element Nb is less vulnerable to burning loss than Ti, so it can be used as the welding rod for Cr-Ni Austenitic stainless steel. Similar to 18-8 Austenitic stainless steel which containing Ti, Grade 347H has higher high temperature strength and better oxidation resistance than 316 stainless steel.
